The knocking startled me. My heart leapt into my throat as I froze, eyes darting toward Sitara, who was sprawled on my bed. Her blouse was unbuttoned slightly from the heat of our earlier… moment. The urgency in the knocks only heightened my panic. It wasn’t just anyone. I knew that knock.
